in tile business its called in grouting but in brick business its called brick poiting, some people and some agencies use artifical grouts to to fill up the joints for ease however best traditional brick work are done with correct proportion of cement and sand in this type of sand also have imp role to play to derive a particualr texture, however jointless withoit grouting also is done at many places but most of the brick are not absoutley right stright so even when there is no space is kept between the bricks there will be few mm space anyways as the bricks are naturaly not righ anagle... lot of modern strrcuers do brick cladding without joint i will share with you images on whats app to see and understand.
